Doug Learned has served in ministry for over twenty years, and began his service as the Senior Pastor of The
Moorings Presbyterian Church in 2012. Before coming to Naples, he worked as the Executive Pastor of The
National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching, and has a
wide range of mission experience in the United States and other countries including Cuba, South Africa,
Guatemala,Thailand, Myanmar and Poland.
Doug has a special interest in Christian visual arts, and he encourages the work of all artists in the congregation. He is known for his biblical preaching and sense of humor, as well as the anecdotes he weaves into his messages concerning the natural settings and culture of Southwest Florida.

Reverend Jaci Smith Patman
Jaci Smith Patman has been engaged in vocational ministry for over twenty years, including five years as an overseas mission field worker, ten years at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Washington, and five years at Bellevue Presbyterian Church, in Bellevue, Washington, where she was ordained in 2013.
Although she came to Naples from her hometown of Seattle, Jaci has lived elsewhere for 25 years - on the West Coast, the East Coast, and overseas. She received her B.A. from Willamette University in Oregon, an M.A. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, a second M.A. in Russian Studies from the University of Washington, and an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Jaci married Keith Patman in 2011, and instantaneously stepped into grandparenthood. Keith’s daughter and her husband have four children, and his son and his wife have started their married life with three dogs.
Dr. Thomas Goetz

Thomas Goetz has extensive experience as a college and seminary professor, conductor, organist, and pianist. He has taught at universities and seminaries in Florida, Illinois, and Kentucky, and has served churches as music director and organist in Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, and Texas. Dr. Goetz taught church music courses, directed the Seminary Choir, and was Seminary Organist at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary for twelve years, and comes most recently from Houston, Texas, where he was Director of Music at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. He is a graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, with MM and DM degrees in church music, and earned a BA magna cum laude in organ performance and music education at Florida International University in Miami. He holds the Colleague certificate with the American Guild of Organists (CAGO).
Tom is married to Paulette, and they have two adult children. Both Paulette and Tom are Wisconsin natives, but were married in Fort Lauderdale, and settled in Miami for their first eleven years of marriage. Paulette was a language arts teacher, and has also directed children's choirs in schools and churches. She now serves as Assistant to the Director of Music. The Goetzes are thrilled to be living and serving in Southwest Florida.
Reverend Nancy Peterson Stewart
Nancy is married to Steele F. Stewart, Jr., M.D. The Washington, D.C. area was home for most of their married lives and where they raised their three children. They are blessed with the lives of their children and their spouses and nine wonderful grandchildren. The Stewart's permanent home is now beautiful Naples, Florida.

Moorings Church is blessed to have Herb as one of our ordained volunteer clergy staff. Dr. Anderson has a distinguished pastoral service of 49 years to Presbyterian churches, including The Brick Presbyterian Church in the city of New York, 1st Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest, IL, Southminster Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, OK, and the 1st Presbyterian Church in Harrison, AK.
Herb is a graduate of the College of Wooster and McCormick Seminary in Chicago, and he also holds 3 honorary degrees. Herb was active in the broader field of Presbyterian governing agencies, including Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation, Chair of McCormick Seminary, and Chair of the Board of Pensions, Presbyterian Church (USA).
With his wife Mary Lou, they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Herb's hobbies include golf and etymological acquisition and he is blessed with
a humorous personality.

Director of Youth Ministries
Alicia is our Director of Youth Ministries and currently our Interim Director of Children and Family Ministries. A true native to not only Naples but Moorings Presbyterian, she grew up attending Moorings and now she and her husband Scott are raising their two daughters in the church. She received her BS from FSU in Child Development and Human Relations and did masters work in Education at Mercer University in Macon GA. Alicia has a true passion for teaching children and youth about the love of Christ, and has been sharing that passion for over 10 years through her involvement in Sunday School, Youth Fellowship, Wednesday Connection and Family Ministries.
Business Office Manager
Jennifer Hand is married to Terry and is the mother of Stephen (25), Lauren (23), Madison (23), Caroline (13), and Trey (12). She is a native of Texas, but has lived in Naples since 2003.
She and her husband are also active foster parents and the founders of an international mission organization, Youth 4 Orphans, Inc. Their mission exists to train and connect U.S. youth to mission service at orphanages in the Bahamas and Haiti.
Jennifer has previous church administration experience and has earned the Church Business Administrator designation through Emory University’s Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, GA. While she believes that administration is a call to serving in the ministry of the church, she also enjoys writing and leading Bible studies.
